LUBC Students Join the Ayutthaya Marathon 2026

London Universities at Bangkok Centre (LUBC), as part of the RVi Group, is pleased to participate in the Ayutthaya Marathon 2026, taking place on Sunday, 22 November 2026, at the Ayutthaya Old City Hall.

Organised by the RVi Group and China Daily Asia Pacific in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Ayutthaya Government, the Ayutthaya Tourist Business Association, and the Ayutthaya Running Club, the event brings together participants to celebrate sports, cultural exchange, international cooperation, and community engagement.

This year’s marathon is held under the theme “Ayutthaya – the World Heritage City” and also commemorates the 51st anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a sporting experience while discovering the rich cultural heritage of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

LUBC at the Event

LUBC students and members of the university community will take part in the Ayutthaya Marathon 2026, representing LUBC and joining participants from across the community.

The event offers our students an opportunity to stay active, build connections, experience Thai cultural heritage, and take part in a memorable community activity beyond the classroom.

Race Kit Pickup:
Saturday, 21 November 2026
10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Running Categories

10.5 km Mini Marathon
Registration fee: THB 720 per person
Includes a race T-shirt and accident insurance.
Participants must be 14 years of age or older.

5 km Fun Run
Registration fee: THB 520 per person
Includes a race T-shirt and accident insurance.

The 42.195 km Marathon and 21.1 km Half Marathon categories are fully booked.

Event Schedule

4:15 a.m. – Warm-up
4:45 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
5:30 a.m. – 10.5 km Mini Marathon Start
5:45 a.m. – 5 km Fun Run Start

The 10.5 km Mini Marathon has a 2-hour completion cutoff, while the 5 km Fun Run has a 1 hour 30 minute cutoff.
