Dean's Message

It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunityof working with all of our RV teachers. These courses will hopefully help you develop professionally. No matter where you are on the teaching spectrum there will be something for you. We are all starting with RV101 which is the basic teaching course and we will continue to develop other courses that fit your needs. For example RV102 is now open to those teachers that want to become mentors for our newer teachers. We will also develop courses in leadership, evaluation and assessment, action research and so on as our teachers develop more and more skills.

The part of the on-line program that excites me the most is the posting on the bulletin board to our basic questions. You will see that whether you are in Mandalay or Hanoi, you are not alone. We are all part of a RV team and we can all learn from each other.

I will also be as close as your computer and I encourage you to write me at any time with your concerns, questions and reflections.Good luck with the courses and your teaching responsibilities. I know that your hearts and minds are dedicated to doing a professional job.

The main purpose of this on-line course is to get us working as a professional learning community and allow us to learn from each other. Many of the course exercises encourage you to talk with a colleague. At RV, we really believe our teachers are our strength and that we can all learn from each other ...
